Kathmandu, June 24:
NC leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat on Monday said PM Girija Prasad Koirala may announce his resignation when the process of amending the interim constitution begins on Wednesday's CA meeting.
Addressing a talk programme in the capital, Mahat said Mahat also made it clear that his party would sit in the opposition at the time when Maoists and CPN-UML have decided to elect the PM and the President on the basis of the "mathematical strength" of the CA. Mahat said opposition party's representation in the NSC was necessary in the "transitional period" to bring the peace process to a logical conclusion.
