Namrata Shrestha upcoming movie "Gaatho" directed by Shuraj Bhusal featuring with Najir Huseen and Abhaya Baral lead role. The movie "Gaatho" is going to shoot Pokhara, Ghulmi and Shyanja around these location from 8th of March 2016. "Gaatho" is based on family drama and love story, director Bhusal Said. While it was announced at the official press meet for Kollywood that Sahana Bajracharya would play as the lead role in the movie, there were recent rumors spreading like wild fire that director Navraj Acharya has signed up Namrata Shrestha instead to play as the main lead. Well, the rumors are true. Sahana indeed has been replaced by Namrata to play the female lead.  We caught up with Sahana Bajracharya recently and asked her why she was replaced.  She replies, “The dates did not match according to my schedule as I told them I needed more preparation. Not only that, I have my documentary that is to be screened very soon…I’m more busy with the documentary.”  The movie stars Bishnu Karki as the main male lead and it's shooting starts from Jestha 1st as planned.

Model actress Namrata Shrestha is working on a movie project on the life story of Ekta Mahat, a former drug addict. Ekta Mahat had become a drug addict at a tender age of 14; she was reformed after many years of addiction. Ekta is now actively involved with organizations working for drug and HIV/AIDS awareness. The movie project has been initiated by a NGO Trend Nepal; it is being planned to be made as a feature length commercial movie. Prachanda Shrestha is currently working on its script; the highs and lows of Ekta Mahat’s life makes a very compelling movie story. It won’t be made as a serious biographical movie, but will have a stylish edgy presentation with many twists and turns. Namarta has been meeting Ekta to understand minutely about her and what she went through during her addiction days. Namarata describes this as a very cha
